We've got plenty of options to keep things interesting. Alternative activities include:

  • Stand-up paddleboarding
  • Yoga
  • Golf
  • Local cooking class
  • Presentation by a local adventurer
  • Exploratory tour of the surrounding area

Note that wind is not guaranteed — that's the nature of kitesurfing, and part of the adventure.

Do I need kiteboarding experience?

No experience is required. Optional lessons with experienced instructors are available at each destination. If you're a complete beginner, our Hua Hin retreat is designed specifically as a learn-to-kite experience with three days of professional group instruction included.

What is the accommodation like?

A multi-room house (or traditional riad in Morocco) with shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom areas. Each guest has their own private room. Free wifi is provided at all accommodation venues.

What is the food like?

Three meals a day — typically a mix of professionally prepared meals at the villa and dinners at quality local restaurants. We work with each destination to serve the best of local cuisine. Vegetarian meals are easy to access in each location.

How do I apply to join a trip?

Complete the application form for your desired trip. We review each application to make sure everyone is a good fit for the group — we keep the crew small (8 kiters) so the vibe matters. You'll hear back from us quickly.

How do I pay?

Once your application is approved, we'll send you an invoice with a secure payment link. We accept most major credit cards.

Do I need a visa?

Visa requirements vary by destination and your citizenship. Morocco and Thailand offer visa-free entry for many Western passports for stays up to 30–90 days. We recommend checking the entry requirements for your specific passport well in advance of travel.

Do I need travel insurance?

Full travel insurance is highly recommended — ideally including medical, cancellation, and activity cover for kitesurfing. Kitesurfari accepts no responsibility for losses, injury, or costs arising from unforeseen events. Please ensure you are covered before you travel.

What is the cancellation policy?
  • More than 60 days before departure: 50% refund
  • Between 30–60 days before departure: 25% refund
  • Less than 30 days before departure: No refund

In the unlikely event that Kitesurfari cancels a trip due to insufficient numbers, a full refund will be provided.
